Order your own duct tape wallet.

HLB Studios sells duct tape wallets custom made for you, in a variety of colors, as bi-folds or tri-folds. If you are interested in more information on color choices and about the wallets, feel free to keep reading. But if you are interested already, order one of your own, here.

While also serving as a functional wallet, HLB Studios' duct tape wallets make a unique, one-of-a-kind statement and are a great gift or personal alternative to assembly-produced wallets. Not to mention, these duct tape wallets are quite thin and should produce less pocket buldge than most conventional wallets. While we do use genuine duct tape, elegant and quality design prevents them from becoming sticky under long-term, normal use.

We feature a variety of color options, and three sections for alternative color placement. Using the colors below, the exterior side, interior side, and bill area can be (at your option) individually colored. Colors may vary slightly if brands in use change, and will naturally look slightly different than as pictured. Please note that not the wallets shown have not been updated to the final, reinforced and enhanced design now sold.

We offer a bi-fold and tri-fold styles of wallets. ID card slots have a clear plastic shield, but otherwise the wallet is only made of 100% duct tape. Given that these are hand made wallets and have many color options, no one wallet will be identical. Our wallets all have serial numbers showing a variety of information about the wallet; we will do more with this later.

A filled, well-worn wallet made before our move to standardized tape (and our enhanced version 1 wallet design).

While we may experiment with change compartment designs in the future, at the moment our wallets only hold bills and cards. Our standard wallet has 3 card slots, an ID card (or fourth regular card), and a bill area. Please note that each card slot will easily hold two cards, if need be. The wallets are made around US currency, so we cannot guarantee interoperability with all currencies, although we will investigate this in the future.

What about the quality?

Our wallets are well-tested and are built with quality tape. The design is continually rethought and improved as we go. Our wallets can last for years when treated well, but in some cases minor patching may be needed after prolonged, heavy use (we see little need for this in the latest design, however). Naturally, assuming you have the right color of tape, duct tape wallets are also easier to repair than conventional wallets (with a little skill). We both use the wallets on a regular basis and have put them through the paces. Heather has also previously sold wallets with earlier, less reinforced designs before with good success (there were certainly a few weaknesses in the old wallets, but they still held up well and new wallets should be even better). We stand by our wallets in terms of quality, usefulness, and aesthetics (assuming you don't pick a *really* bad color combination), but if you have any questions please let us know.

Our first production tri-fold:

From left to right: the tri-fold featured above, an experimental wallet with a checkered design, built off of an unsuccessful prototype, Teran's pre-production, well-used wallet, our first (mostly) production bi-fold.
